Some Things You Need To Know About
Wood Tone And What We Do

We Don't Believe That You Should Have To
Pay Extra For What You Want

We have completed bodies and blank bodies in stock.
It does not take us any longer to do pickup routs for a
Humbucker or a P90, so we are not going to charge you
extra to do it.  As long as you can tell us clearly what you want,
we will make every effort to meet your needs.
It's all about your tone.

We Try and Stock a Lot of Bodies and Blank Bodies

If you find a routed body on this site that has a number  (like 62801)
that body is on a shelf waiting to ship.  Our first priority every
day is to ship out orders for In Stock Bodies.

If you find a blank body on this site that has a number, that
blank body  is on a shelf waiting for you to select your routs
from the options that we have templates for.  Our second
priority every day is to ship out orders for blank bodies.

Any other body on our site that does not have a number
is an example of past work or an illustration
of a optional detail, and does not exist.

While we are happy to take requests for certain materials,
weights, routs or other details, we cannot give you a time
frame for processing these requests.  Regardless of our
best intentions, we cannot control when we will get lumber
in, or the quality of the lumber when it does arrive.
Also, we would like to have templates for every possible
variation of body that you can imaging, but filling orders
based on the templates that we do have takes priority over
making new templates.

We Don't Use The Term "Standard"

We have a page where we list and show our "Common Details".
On this page we use measurements and pictures to show you what we build.
We also have a page called "Common Options".
On This page we use measurements and pictures to show you the
optional details that we have made templates for.
There is no such thing as a "Standard" body shape, bridge,
neck or pick guard.  Electric guitars have been in production for
over 50 years, with parts coming from thousands of factories.
We can tell you what our layouts are based on, but if you want
something different, you have to tell us exactly what parts
you will be using so that we can make sure that they will fit.

Neck Pockets:

Our goal is to produced guitar bodies that are economical and work for a wide
range of customers.  Because there are so many parts sources out there,
we have sized our neck pockets to fit the smallest aftermarket necks.
This means that your neck pocket may need sanding to match the
neck that you purchase.  As with all guitar custom builds, it is very
important that you check all of your parts for fit and compatibility
prior to starting finishing of your guitar.

Neck pocket is 2-3/16 Wide at base of neck
 (tapered towards head stock)
3" Long and 5/8" Deep
